Alex Reed

Alex is a full-time yoga teacher and volunteer BWY committee member based in Wimbledon, South London. She runs regular group and private classes in Hatha Flow Yoga, and Gentle Years Yoga classes at local care homes.

Her classes focus on moving well; finding ways to lead the body into postures with a sense of freedom, curiosity and joy. The teachers she loves to learn from most are those honouring the teachings of Vanda Scaravelli, in the hope her own practice and teaching will reflect this amazing approach to asana.

Session

N7 Exploring New Routes Into Traditional Asana
Date: Sunday 01 May 2022 Time: 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm

An asana class featuring rolling, flowing movements and breath as an invitation to the body towards traditional asana and your body’s full expression of that pose.

This will be an exploratory class, so bring your curiosity and beginners’ mind.

The asanas we will be covering include:

  • Trikonasana (Triangle)
  • Ardha Matsyendrasana (Spinal Twist)
  • Virabhadrasana III (Warrior 3)
  • Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward Facing Dog)
  • Sarvangasana (Shoulderstand)

There will be time at the end of class to relax and recuperate from the day’s learning, ready for your journey home.
