Astra Farquharson

Astra came to yoga over 20 years ago to help with chronic pain and stress. She felt this wasn’t helped by her high pressured career in public affairs and decided to swap lobbying for leggings in 2011 to become a yoga teacher.

Astra is also a trained Mindfulness practitioner and passionately believes that both practices should be accessible to all.

Astra founded Therapy Yoga in 2015 to bring Mindful Yoga to local groups, schools, and workspaces. When she is not teaching, she is hosting her Podcast ‘Your Mindful Month’, or trying to keep up with her two young children.

A workshop using subtle sound to centre our thoughts.

We will explore: 

  • Pranayama as sound
  • A ‘sound and thoughts’ meditation
  • A deep sound immersion with soothing melodic instruments.
