Janet Long

I have been practicing yoga for over 18 years, coming to it as a result of a stressful corporate management job. I was looking for a low impact form of exercise that would help improve my mobility and reduce my levels of stress. I found this and so much more...

My passion relates to energy, I am also a reiki master/teacher and find that this links really well into the philosophy of yoga  - that everything in the Universe is made up of energy which looks to be balanced. It is a privilege to share what I have learned with others.

C4 Introduction to Chakra Balancing

This is a practical session to explore ways we can become aware of energy that can be used for our own practice or for teachers to share with their students

I5 Moving Energy Through the Chakras
Date: Saturday 30 Apr 2022 Time: 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

This is a playful session in which we will use different senses to experience energy in the seven main Chakras. We will be working with dynamic movement in asana to experience the flow of energy

The session will conclude with a relaxing meditation which will guide you through the Chakras giving the opportunity to really connect to the energy of each one and understand how that relates to you

K2 Waking Up the Chakras (ZOOM)
Date: Sunday 01 May 2022 Time: 7:00 am - 8:30 am

A morning session to set you up energetically for the day by working with asana to awaken each of the seven chakras in turn.

We will chant the Bija mantras (seed mantras associated with the chakras) before finishing with a lovely relaxation.

Please note this is a hybrid session taught in-person and also via Zoom.
