Tranquility is a relaxing, therapeutic experience. Beginning with a moon salutation that will not be strenuous, you will be encouraged to feel deeply into movements, gaining a sense of your body and the subjective space you are inhabiting at that time. An invitation to perform a mini abhyanga, (self massage) to hands and feet, with the ayurvedic oils provided, can be accepted or not. Then immersed in the breath, you will be settled into a simple seated pranayama practice and meditation before moving down to your mat to be guided through Yoga Nidra, finishing with the soothing sounds of Vedic chanting. This class is suitable for anyone who wants to de-stress, unwind or simply relax and is the ideal way to end the day. It will be accessible to everyone regardless of ability, age, or knowledge of asana, pranayama or meditation. However, we will be using ayurvedic oils so it is not suitable for anyone who cannot use sesame oil because of allergies. You should not be doing anything strenuous afterwards.
