Spirality in Anatomy

Spirality in nature is everywhere we look, and resides in every movement we make. To be spiral is to curl, to resonate with vibration, to converge and expand with the breath. Spirals are found universally, leaving a twirling pattern in biologic tissue, pea tendrils, the horns of ruminant animals, weather formations and the motion of galaxies. Nature always seeks the most energy-efficient forms, which is why we see evidence of the natural world manifesting in spirality all around us. Nature’s dance through the music and mathematics of form leave patterns in nature that provide natural constraints, and in life we find it arising in complexity. Join Karen in a presentation of the spiral constraints that inform and infuse every movement we make.

Join Karen for a kineasthetic workshop exploring hyperbolic geometry and make your own model of spirality and breathing. All materials provided.
